?CUNY Resource Page? Many CUNY students and PSC members are immigrants or refugees. The union is committed to ensuring that every student is safe in their classroom, and that all our colleagues and community members are protected from threats based on their immigration status. We are collecting resources here for members and students to use as we navigate a quickly-shifting landscape on this issue, and we encourage members to use the form below to sign up for future opportunities to participate in the Immigrant Solidarity Working Group.? 关于我们
The City University of New York’s Office of K16 Initiatives is the home for more than a dozen innovative programs that share a common goal: helping NYC public school students make a successful transition to college, careers and life beyond. Our programs are nationally recognized for their commitment to long-term student success. Collectively, CUNY’s K-16 programs serve more than 80,000 students from more than 600 public schools each year. While the programs address a diverse set of needs, they all aim to improve success rates and ease the transition from K-12 schools to college and beyond. Starting with early education and continuing through high school, these programs support the city’s commitment to equity by ensuring high quality transition programs help eliminate achievement gaps between racial, ethnic, and socio-economic groups. OUR MISSION CUNY K16 Initiatives creates innovative pathways for young New Yorkers to envision and achieve success by engaging strategic partners in confronting systemic educational inequities. WE FUEL FUTURE SUCCESS THROUGH COLLABORATION Collaboration is fundamental to our work. Only in partnership with the NYC Department of Education are we able to offer programs that support students through the transition to college. Leadership and faculty on CUNY campuses are also integral to the process of planning and implementing programs that strategically support students in attaining their long-term goals. K16 Initiatives consist of: College Now CAT (Creative Arts Team) Early College CUNY Prep LINCT (Lessons in Navigating College Transition) CUNY Explorers CUNY Tutor Corps Debating U.S. History Graduate NYC STEM Research Academy College Counseling Initiatives
