?? Unlocking the possibilities, one click at a time ?? CUNY Startups Marketing Intern, Christian Martinez, had a virtual chat with CUNY Startups Alumni Michael T., Oscar Chong, and Harry C.. Less than five years ago, these gentlemen were eager The City University of New York students with a shared vision to make job searching easier and determination to create their own startup. Together, they founded Stipplo, a powerful job application tracking tool that gives job seekers everything they need to simplify and complete their job search hunt. And it’s still in business! This highlights how a clear, real-world problem can drive innovation and lead to the creation of a successful business. Although a strong educational foundation is invaluable, the real magic happens when students apply that knowledge to real-world issues. What did Christian learn from this conversation? He’s driven by a passion for learning and problem-solving, with experience in cross-functional collaboration to design and deliver services from concept to production, ensuring rapid value delivery. Oscar Chong is an entrepreneur and received his bachelor’s degree in computer science at The City College of New York. He’s working on Stipplo part-time, while also pursuing other startup opportunities. Harry Chen received his B.S. in computer science at the City University of New York-College of Staten Island. ?? Gaining Influence through Entrepreneurship ?? CUNY Startups Marketing Intern, Christian Martinez, had a great conversation with CUNY Startups Alum and John Jay College (CUNY) alum, Atsouco Saint Louis. Atsouco was the Chief of Operations and Co-Founder of the startup @ApplyHUB. ApplyHUB, at inception, was an AI-powered online web platform which automated the job application process and optimized resumes to increase the likelihood of landing a job. After completing the program, Atsouco traveled across the country to gain further experience and is now working as a Technical Assistant Associate at BALTIMORE COMMUNITY LENDING. He’s able to nurture young entrepreneurs and small businesses, helping them secure the funding they need to thrive. It’s inspiring to see how experiences and knowledge gained through programs like CUNY Startups can ripple out into meaningful community support.
