Cumberland Container is celebrating 50 years of supplying corrugated packaging to Tennessee and surrounding areas. We produce a quality product on a consistent basis and have the widest range of converting equipment of any sheet facility of comparable size. With 3 rotary die cutters, a new Baysek flatbed die cutter, four flexo folder gluers from mini to jumbo size, the largest Expert Folder Gluer, stitchers and double headed gluers, we can convert any size and type of box. Cumberland Container also does a full array of fulfillment work from labeling, laminating, building and installing partitions, doing set-up boxes with dunnage, palletizing, shrink wrapping and even packing completed boxes for customers. To support our customers, we have a 100,000 square foot warehouse and a nine-truck fleet with 50 trailers to accommodate Just-In-Time delivery. As part of the 50th year celebration, we have purchased and expect to receive in April the first Apstar HG2 50” x 113” Flexo-Folder Gluer capable of printing three outside colors and one inside color in a single pass. Our new Apstar will be the only one of its kind in the region and perfect for e-commerce. ** Pictured Below: Mike Bowman(Production Manger), Sgt. Bowman (employee), Stewart Reeve (ESGR), and Randy Swallows(Sales Manager) on behalf of Mark Jared(CEO). Yesterday, two Cumberland Container staff members, Mark Jared, CEO, and Mike Bowman, production manager, were honored to receive the Patriot Award from Mr. Stewart Reeve, a member of the ESGR. Receiving the Patriot Award signifies that the employer has gone above and beyond the legal requirements outlined in the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) to support their military-affiliated employees. Our outstanding employee Samantha Bowman, who has worked with the company for four years, is a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. Sgt. Bowman deployed to Jordan in February of 2023 and arrived back home in December of 2023. When Sergeant Bowman arrived home, Cumberland Container welcomed her back to her same position, as well as accommodating her needs. She has been a hard working employee for Cumberland Container and we could not be more appreciative of her work ethic. We thank Sgt. Bowman for showing her appreciation to our company and nominating these staff members, as it was such an honor for them to receive these awards.

Cumberland Container recently added a Rotating Attachment to one of our forklifts. This is beneficial for Cumberland Container for many reasons. The attachment can rotate boxes in 180 degrees; this will help customers that need specific orientation of panels and glue tabs. See video below of it in motion.

Our maintenance crew just finished installing a new glue metering roll in our Automatan Litho Labeler. The roll is to precisely meter the glue being applied to the labels. Machine Operator Spotlight of the month: Gary Reagan has been with Cumberland Container for 28 years. He has been the machine operator for the Bobst Discovery since it was newly installed November 2022. The Discovery is a “set while run” machine, meaning we can change over from job to job quickly, averaging 8 minutes. So, we can mass produce with precision. Cumberland Container is proud to announce our 20,000ft expansion has been completed. For the first time, our employees are able to travel and move product between our main plant and warehouse under a roof. This expansion gives us 4 new dock doors for receiving and 3X more space for staging. Out of the 20,000ft, 6,000ft will be utilized for cutting die storage.
