Teal Organizational Paradigm - 9-Minute Video As we kick off the 10th Anniversary global celebration of Frederic Laloux's book Reinventing Organizations next week, I wanted to share more about the book's concepts. I'm sharing one of Frederic's videos in this post. As a McKinsey & Company consultant, Frederic had been stumped as he witnessed CEO after CEO say the same things: * Our systems are too complex now; we need a way to run our organizations with less complexity and engage our staff differently. * Despite working together for years, we might not know each other. This sometimes gets in the way of building our teams. * People are afraid to show themselves for who they really are - how can we get rid of our professional masks and be ourselves as we work together? * We aren't listening to our organizations - they may want us to move into other directions where there may be more "blue oceans" for us, but we haven't slowed down enough to listen and think things through. Many of us are thinking the same things. Should we discover if they are pivot points for us? As Frederic kept hearing CEO after CEO say these same things, he started to wonder if there were options to our hierarchy or matrix organizations that would fit us better for the future. What he found was extraordinary: many CEOs around the world were thinking the same things at the same time.
