According to 84.51’s 2024 Consumer Digest Snacking Trends report, 68% of consumers are actively searching for sales, deals, and coupons, while 55% are cutting back on non-essential items like snacks and candy. Price remains the top factor for 32% of consumers when purchasing snacks, followed by quality (15%) and flavor (13%). Despite these budget-conscious behaviors, 85% of consumers continue to buy snacks from grocery stores, with 60% also shopping at mass retailers, emphasizing the importance of physical stores in attracting snack buyers.
