It's Cornell Giving Day! Giving to CUAir means directly supporting us as Atlas—our current plane system—takes flight in the California this summer! Our goal for this Giving Day is to raise $15,000 and any amount helps! Until 11:59pm, we hope that you can support us on our mission, via the link below: https://lnkd.in/ekE6ka6w Thank you all so much for your support! ????

CUAir Crowdfunding has taken flight! As a team, we aim to build the most innovative and efficient aircraft system to date. To do this, making dramatic changes year to year enables us to perform our desired missions. These are exciting changes to our team as we have our hopes set high for this year's competition; however, it does require more resources than past years. The work our team does is heavily reliant on generous external support. Your donation would go towards new materials and critical components for our plane such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, motors, batteries, and additional competition costs. Support CUAir and our mission this year by donating to our Crowdfunding campaign! Link to page: https://lnkd.in/evzhjFm9

Spotted: members of CUAir meeting Bill Nye and celebrating #Sibley150 with Cornell MAE!
We were proud to celebrate 150 years of mechanical engineering at Cornell yesterday! We reflected on our history with former directors, examined the present with lab tours, and envisioned the future with alumni from NASA and SpaceX, along with Bill Nye the Science Guy! #Sibley150

Special shoutout to our faculty advisor!
For people with mobility limitations, daily tasks like eating and getting out of bed can be impossible without help. Tapomayukh "Tapo" Bhattacharjee, assistant professor of computer science, has received the Toyota Research Institute Young Faculty Researcher Award for his work in assistive robotics. Tapo believes assistive robotics have the potential to better the lives of people who have mobility limitations and relieve some of the caregivers’ workload.
