?? A big THANK YOU to the National Wheat Foundation (NWF) and the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) for visiting Tidewater’s Vancouver Terminal and Shipyard! Our guests got a rare opportunity to go down on drydock while the Ryan Point was up on blocks, checking out the underwater mechanics, engine room, wheelhouse, and even seeing how our hardworking crewmembers live for 15 days at a time while moving millions of tons of commodities along the Columbia-Snake River System. We couldn’t have asked for better weather—Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, and Mt. Adams made stunning appearances to welcome these growers and advocates from all over the U.S. ?? Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Tidewater and the vital role we play in regional supply chains. Safe travels home! ?

First trip north for the American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) 11k!

Last night, American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) christened its new 200'x50' towboat, Mariner, in a unique ceremony on the Mississippi River in New Orleans. We're excited to share that the M/V ACBL Mariner made the move from the shipyard to the water for the very first time on October 18th! After its journey down the Intracoastal Waterway, the vessel hit the water for the very first time and is now back at C&C Marine, where engineers are making the final preparations for its official christening. Only 18 more days until the big day on Tuesday, November 12! Ready to kick off a great week of learning from our peers at the SSIWSC in Biloxi, MS! We are presenting on Day 1, after lunch. While we were in the area, we stopped in to see our friends at C & C Marine and Repair to look at this beautiful CT Marine designed, and Hyperion modeled/ detailed, American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) towboat. This thing is a BEAST, and will be the twin screw towboat on the Mississippi River!
