CTI is pleased to welcome Jim Cunneen, J.D., P.E. to our Long Beach office. Mr. Cunneen will serve as Associate Engineer – Business Development to support and expand CTI’s environmental practice in the Greater Los Angeles market. Jim has dedicated his professional career to continuous growth as a leader. For over 37 years, he has provided support for operations, including management and administrative functions, contract administration, project management and quality assurance/quality control of engineering, mentoring staff, and environmental consulting services. Mr. Cunneen’s experience includes performing environmental due diligence / compliance, geotechnical investigations, and construction materials testing services for a wide range of major earthwork and constructions projects such as bridges, roadways, capital improvements, heavy civil construction, residential, commercial and industrial development, education and institutional, pipelines, and communications structures. Jim has been involved in local governance where he served on the Fountain Valley School District Board of Trustees starting in 2014. He retired from the position at the conclusion of his second term and moved to a winning seat in 2022 on the Fountain Valley City Council, starting a four-year term. Mr. Cunneen was also recently selected by his Council colleagues to serve as Vice Mayor over the next one year. As an elected official, Mr. Cunneen adheres to the highest levels of ethics, confidentiality, transparency, leadership, and continuous service. Mr. Cunneen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from California University State Long Beach and also holds a Juris Doctorate from a local law school, where he is currently seeking admission into the California State Bar. Jim is dedicated to volunteering in his community, where he is currently an active member of the Fountain Valley Rotary Club, serving as club President, and former Chair of the City of Fountain Valley General Plan Advisory Committee. Mr. Cunneen also serves as Vice Chair for the Orange County Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Commission and the Orange County Library Advisory Board. He is also a long-time choir member and Fourth Degree Order in the Fountain Valley Holy Spirit Catholic Church Knights of Columbus Chapter 9667.

The amount of Homeless Encampment Cleanups #CTIEnviro managed has increased over the past 90 days. We are attributing this to the decision made by the Supreme Court in 2024, to ban homeless camps. It took a while for the enforcement to trickle throughout the states.
