What are the Four Levels of PPE? Level A: Maximum protection – fully encapsulated suit plus SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus). Perfect for unknown or highly toxic hazards. Level B: High respiratory protection, splash-resistant suit. Needed when there’s a serious breathing threat, but less skin exposure risk than Level A. Level C: Chemical-resistant suit with an air-purifying respirator (APR). Good for known, lower-risk hazards where filter cartridges are sufficient. Level D: Basic workwear (coveralls, boots, minimal gear) – used when there’s no real chemical or respiratory risk. At CTI Environmental, having the right PPE for the job is a top priority.
