This past weekend, 55 guests joined us for the Women’s Adventure Film Festival fundraiser—an unforgettable night of inspiration and adventure! From extreme sports to deeply personal journeys, the six films showcased resilience, creativity, and the power of women in the outdoors. A huge thank you to our special guest, Hunter from Women on Wheels, for sharing her passion, and to @Athletic Brewing Company for donating beer! Cheers to an incredible evening of storytelling, courage, and community! #WomensAdventureFilmFestival #FearlessWomen #OutdoorInspiration #CFPA #AthleticBrewingCompany
关于我们
The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) is the first non-profit conservation organization established in Connecticut during 1895. Our mission is connecting people to Connecticut's forests, parks, and Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails to ensure that these special places are protected and well-managed for future generations. CFPA has a small professional staff who work with amazing volunteers to maintain 825 miles of Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails, ensure conservation has a strong voice at the Capitol, offer educational programs for the general public and landowners, and protect over 2,000 acres as a statewide land trust.

Education is the secret weapon that turns learners into leaders, dreamers into doers, and students into the next generation of conservation heroes. Every hike, every school field trip, and every hands-on forest lesson helps build a better future. A big, BIG! thank you to all the teachers, educators, mentors, and volunteers who inspire the next generation and to you for supporting programs that teach, inspire, and protect. hashtag #LearnOutside #EnvironmentalEducation #ConservationEducation #Forestry

You did it!!! Thanks to incredible people like YOU, we’ve surpassed our Annual Fund goal by 12%! This achievement means so much, especially at a time when every trail, every forest, and every green space needs our care. Your support means safer trails, expanded education, and stronger land protection. Behind every trail cleared, every forest conserved, and every smile on the face of someone in nature, there's a moment of hope, joy, and change... a moment made possible by you. So, #ThankYou for your compassion and support in 2024. Without you, none of this would be possible.

We’re blown away by the support at Camp Sloper this weekend for the Wildfire Relief event hosted by the CT Trailmixers! Nearly 200 amazing folks came out, with 147 hiking or running a one-mile loop for up to 3 hours. Together, you completed anywhere from 1 to 23 loops and raised over $5,000 for wildfire relief! The day was filled with good vibes, great camaraderie, and even three news stations stopping by to spotlight this incredible effort. A HUGE shoutout to our partners: CT Trailmixers, Shenipsit Striders, Cultra Trail Running Podcast, West Rock Ramblers, Rat Race Timing, Ragged Cuts, Camp Sloper. And THANK YOU to everyone who brought food to share—it truly was a community effort! You all showed the power of coming together, one loop at a time. Here’s to many more adventures ahead! #WildfireRelief #TrailCommunity #ThankYou #RunForACause #hikeforacause
