Some reminders for 2025 from #CTDOL’s Wage & Workplace Division: 1. On Jan 1, CT’s minimum wage goes up to $16.35 per hour. 2. If you’re paid in cash, keep records of hours worked & pay received. If ever a problem, investigators need those records to help determine if you are owed back pay & how much. 3. Tipped staff (like servers & bartenders) are paid regular min wage for work done when the restaurant is closed. Setting up before open? That’s minimum wage time.
