Training Tuesday: Learning from the Experts! Session 385 got a firsthand look at working with domestic violence advocates today, and it was a phenomonal experience. Putting their skills to the test in a real-life exercise made a huge difference—not just in understanding the process, but in building confidence too. Pictured is a recruit walking up to the door, while the domestic violence advocate waits inside, ready to challenge them with a realistic scenario. These practical exercises push our recruits to think on their feet and apply what they’ve learned in a real-world setting. A huge thank you to the advocates who took the time to work with our recruits. Your insight and partnership are truly invaluable!

Our legislative interns asked great questions about state government and DAS’s role. How does the budget work? What’s it like working for the Office of Governor Ned Lamont? Thanks for visiting DAS today! Special thanks to Commissioner Bryan Cafferelli and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection team!
