  • Our one-of-a-kind Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences (ERHS) department had a wonderful time at Envirothon, connecting with emerging youth environmental health leaders. We were excited to meet a student who had already committed to our College! Joining Dr. Elizabeth Ryan was Dr. Sheila Juarez Colunga, an ERHS postdoc working with the local community and conducting research at CSU Spur. It’s inspiring to see this kind of community collaboration with high schoolers presenting environmental studies from across Colorado in action. A special thanks to Dr. Ryan, whose research explores the connections between environmental exposures, food, gut health, and disease prevention. Through ERHS, we bring together environmental health, radiology, cancer biology, and community engagement in a way that’s truly unique. We’re so proud to be engaged with CSU Spur.

  • Some create change, others ARE the change. Megan is the first full-time CSU vet tech in dentistry, and she redefined what’s possible. Megan Kirchner-Stephenson, RVT, has spent over a decade shaping the service and, in recent years, pursuing her Veterinary Technician Specialties (VTS) credentials. Her passion for teaching and mastering dental radiographs is unmatched. This #PetDentalHealthMonth, we celebrate Megan’s dedication to dentistry.
