The Colorado State University Department of Economics is a vibrant learning community that supports the intellectual development and professional aspirations of students and faculty alike. Economics is a broad social science (the study of societies and the relationships among individuals within those societies) that brings together diverse tools for understanding the choices we make, the constraints we face, and the consequences of the critical social issues of equity, efficiency, and sustainability. As part of CSU’s College of Liberal Arts, we go beyond supply-and-demand to bring in big-picture debates about economic perspectives and policies.
