This #WomensHistoryMonth, C-Strategies is celebrating some of the amazing women we work with who inspire us every day — including private equity trailblazer, Suzanne Yoon! As the Founder & Managing Partner of Kinzie Capital Partners LP, Suzanne is one of the few women to establish and lead a private equity firm — and her journey is equally remarkable. The daughter of South Korean immigrants, her parents arrived in Chicago when she was a baby and quickly became entrepreneurs running small businesses. After Suzanne lost her father in an armed robbery when she was 10 years old, her single mom often worked double shifts as a nurse to support the family. This collective life experience forged a resilience that prepared her for a career in the ultra competitive financial services industry where she broke multiple barriers before founding Kinzie. In addition to leading a fast-growing firm, she's dedicated to empowering the next generation of women in finance and lifting up others in need, serving on the Chicago Public Library Foundation Board and as recent past Chairman of the National Philanthropic Trust, ensuring that her impact extends far beyond business.
