???Exciting News for Lake Charles!??? The Anita Drive Park, a 1.56-acre city-owned tract, is set to become a vibrant neighborhood park thanks to the vision of the City of Lake Charles Parks and Recreation Department. CSRS played a key role in developing a comprehensive master plan that incorporates open play spaces and serves as a hub for community events. Planned amenities include: - Children’s splash pad - Picnic pavilion - Lighted walking path - Restroom facilities - Open play lawn - Site furnishings & enhanced landscaping These features will provide essential recreational opportunities, promote physical activity, and foster social engagement for residents of all ages. Following the master plan’s completion, CSRS helped the city secure $400,000 in grant funding through the FY 2021 CDBG-CV Love Louisiana Outdoors Program. This funding ensures the park will enhance the neighborhood’s quality of life, increase property values, and contribute to a safer, more connected community. CSRS also provided engineering, landscape architecture, and architectural design services, guiding the city through the public bidding process and securing a general contractor for implementation. Anita Drive Park is on its way to becoming an inviting green space where families can gather, children can play, and residents can enjoy outdoor recreation, and the overall well-being of the community.??? ?? Exciting news! We're proud to announce that our Early Flood Warning System (?????????? ?????????? - https://lnkd.in/gcaS-TCG) is now live in Central, Louisiana! A huge thank you to the ???????? ???? ?????????????? (https://lnkd.in/gu2BJBca) for their trust and collaboration in bringing this innovative system to their community. Why is this a game-changer for Central? Early FloWS combines real-time data from multiple sources - including stream gauges, weather radar, and advanced computer models - to predict flooding with street-level precision. This means: ?? Families get crucial early warnings through city notifications ?? Emergency teams can position resources exactly where they're needed ?? Better planning for evacuation routes when every minute counts ?? Critical infrastructure (power, water, communications) stays better protected The best part? The system keeps learning and improving, adapting to changes in land use and drainage patterns to maintain accurate predictions over time.
