The HIMSS Chapter of Central and Southern Ohio (CSOHIMSS) supports careers in healthcare information systems in Ohio. CSOHIMSS has representation from the provider, consultant, and vendor healthcare industry segments and works to enhance communication and education among its over 1,100 local chapter members! As an affiliated chapter of the Health Information Management Systems Society, CSOHIMSS shares the basic objective of promoting the professional development of its members, working to improve the reputation of the profession, and encouraging advancement in the field of health care management systems. The purpose of the affiliated chapters of the society is to provide an organized structure at the local and state level to advance the objectives of both the society and the affiliated chapters. HIMSS Central and Southern Ohio annually awards a variety of scholarships to high school, college and graduate?students studying in the healthcare information or healthcare management systems field. Special scholarships for veterans are also available. Scholarships are awarded for academic excellence and the potential for future leadership in the healthcare information and management systems industry. Review criteria are focused on academic achievement, service activities, technical skills, career goals, demonstration of leadership potential, and communication skills. The scholarships (cash award) will be awarded to the student deemed most deserving by the CSOHIMSS Scholarship Committee. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2025, to?[email protected].? ?
