The design of the new IU Health downtown hospital and its surrounding campus was driven by four guiding principles: Innovation, Adaptation, Resiliency, and Transformation. By consolidating the existing IU Health Methodist and University hospitals, patients and team members benefit from enhanced centralization, increased efficiency, the ability to adapt to multiple care models and demand surges, and more. Last week, Governor Eric Holcomb cut the ribbon on the scenario-based training village and Emergency Vehicle Operations track at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA). The facilities are part of a two-phase master plan developed by CSO to provide much needed upgrades to the ILEA campus in Plainfield. The new scenario-based training village will be used for training officers in real-life situations. "I think this place will become the envy of law enforcement training around the country," said Timothy Horty, the Executive Director of ILEA. Ongoing work at the ILEA campus includes new dormitory and classroom spaces, a secure front entrance, and a memorial space. A new maintenance barn and interior renovations for the Indiana State Police training cadre and ILEA offices were completed earlier as part of phase one. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gmDuHt6n

The CSO Architects team had a great time at the A4LE-Association for Learning Environments Conference in Portland this year. It’s always encouraging to see so many designers, educators, and vendors who prioritize the well-being of children and the creation of appropriate learning environments gathered in one space. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the conference’s success!

Silver Creek High School students and staff are thrilled to begin using the school’s new learning spaces! A brand-new addition adds a modern new entry, open common areas, collaborative classroom spaces, athletic facilities, performing arts center, and more. ? "It's just so much more conducive to learning…..we've got flexible spaces kids can be in….the furniture in the classrooms allows for movement and grouping. It just really enhances the process," said Silver Creek teacher Michael Day. ? Take a look at the new spaces and hear from students and staff at the link below.

Thank you to Carmel Education Foundation and Carmel High School for having us at the Junior Achievement of Central Indiana CareerIgnite event! We loved meeting the future of Architecture and Design, as well as sharing our love for the industry and CSO Architects. We had the opportunity to interact with over 2,000 students in grades 9-12. We also met students who are considering or currently taking some of the A&D courses offered at CHS. This is special to us as our designers have worked closely with CHS to help strengthen the curriculum for the Interior Design courses offered. We take pride in being a resource/connection for students and informing them on the many opportunities our industry has to offer.
