Last week, The Right Place Manufacturers Council joined forces with Discover Manufacturing, MiSTEM Network, Kent ISD, TalentFirst, West Michigan Construction Institute, West Michigan Works!, Muskegon Area ISD, Ottawa Area ISD, Allegan Area ESA, and Grand Rapids Community College to host our third annual Career Readiness Conference, bringing together nearly 170 attendees from education, manufacturing, and construction to tackle one of the industry's most pressing challenges - the talent shortage. The event fostered important discussions about bridging the gap between K-12 education and manufacturing & construction careers, ensuring students have clear pathways to rewarding opportunities in these industries.
