关于我们
The Children’s Services Council of Leon County (CSC Leon) is a catalyst for positive change to improve the lives and outcomes of children, youth and families in our community. Approved by a majority of the local electorate during the November 2020 General Election, the CSCLC has been established to provide children with early learning and reading skills, development, treatment, preventative and other children's services. It is an independent special district that will provide funding for these children's services throughout the County by annually levying ad valorem taxes, not exceeding the maximum millage rate of one-half (1/2) mill, and has independent oversight and accountability as required by law.

??We are excited to welcome Allie Richards to the CSC Leon Governing Council! A lifelong Fort Braden resident, Allie Richards has dedicated her career to public service. She currently serves as the Aide to District 2 Leon County Commissioner Christian Caban, working to keep residents informed and engaged in county operations. Before this role, Richards was an educator, supporting students with disabilities and fostering inclusive learning environments. Inspired by her late father, James "Jimbo" Jackson, Richards continues his legacy by advocating for strong community connections and meaningful change. Richards will be sworn in at Wednesday’s council meeting. Learn more about her on our website: https://lnkd.in/eCrUR-s9 #cscleon?#ourkidsfirst?#leoncounty?#tallahassee?#familyfocused?#datadriven

“If you can dream it, we can build it.” Ten years later and our community gathered to celebrate all that we have accomplished and set a path for where we go next. Investing in professional growth means we can bring back fresh ideas, stronger connections, and new strategies to better serve our community. ???? Last week, our team joined representatives from fellow CSCs and Trusts across Florida to share insights, discuss challenges, and explore innovative solutions for better supporting children and families. This conference is one of the few professional development opportunities tailored specifically to our work. And this year did not disappoint! We had the chance to learn from expert speakers on responding to community violence, AI, and leadership—and we also got to showcase one of Leon County’s own “bright spots.” Most importantly, our small team learned about our collective strengths and how we can leverage each other to benefit this community! ???? #FACCT2025 #ProfessionalDevelopment #Leadership #CommunityImpact FACCT - Florida Alliance of Children's Councils and Trusts

Service is at the heart of her work in this community and her dedication to improving the lives of children and families has earned her the prestigious ???????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????????? ?????? ?????????????????? ???????????? from the MLK Foundation of Florida. Honored by members of the Leon County Commission during an event last week, Cecka’s unwavering commitment to positive change continues to make a lasting difference in our community. Her leadership inspires us to strive for greatness—not for recognition, but for the impact we can make together. And that is exactly what the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood for. Our team couldn’t be prouder of Cecka for this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations, Cecka! ?? #MLKJusticeAward #CommunityImpact #LeonCounty #CSCLeon #LeadershipInAction
