Over the past few months, I've been spending a lot of my time volunteering and giving back to the community. The highlight? Mentoring high school students and having career conversations with local school kids. A huge shoutout to: ? Mountain House High School for hosting Mountain Hacks ? For the month of May, I participated in the CS Base Hackathon along with Tasneem I , Thejuswini R and Suchitra M . We developed a web-based app, GreeniMi, which won us the Wolfram Award! GreeniMi is our effort to build a platform that provides instant extrinsic rewards to motivate users to stick to their sustainability goals. GreeniMi is a web app with two parts: a visual novel game for ages 6-14 to teach sustainable decision-making, and a lifestyle tracker for teens and older users. The tracker offers quests for reducing carbon footprints, rewarding earth points exchangeable for GreeniMons from the Monshop page. Do check it out! https://lnkd.in/g7HaMAxV

I'm thrilled to share that our team has won the advanced division of the CS Base hackathon! This incredible achievement reflects our hard work, creativity, and collaboration. We developed a walking map application that provides directions and ranks routes based on air quality to enhance walking commutes. A huge shoutout to my amazing teammates TJ Smith, Nideesh Bharath Kumar, and Joseph Siracusa for their commitment to developing such an amazing project. This win wouldn't have been possible without them. Thank you to the organizers and judges from CS Base for this opportunity and for recognizing our efforts. After 400+ students, 60+ climate solutions, and over $17k in sponsored prizes, our 2024 CS Base Climate Hackathon comes to an end. Following intensive judging, we have selected our the winners of our beginner and advanced categories. In addition, we selected our 15 Wolfram Award winners who demonstrated exceptional innovation in their climate solution.
