At CSAA Insurance Group, we’re honored to support transformative initiatives that uplift communities. Visiting Bridges Academy on October 31 was an inspiring experience as we witnessed their vision for a green schoolyard come to life. Through our partnership with Trust for Public Land (TPL), we’ve committed to funding four schoolyard initiatives over two years, and seeing the impact at Bridges Academy reinforced the importance of this work. The grand opening was a celebration of collaboration and the vibrant possibilities these spaces bring to students, schools, and neighborhoods. We’re proud to be part of a movement that creates lasting change and look forward to continuing to support and highlight the impactful work of TPL!

A glorious day at Bridges Academy in Oakland yesterday to celebrate the new green schoolyard grand opening with students, teachers, parents and project partners all in Halloween costumes. Big congratulations to the Bridges Academy community and @OUSD for building the final green schoolyard pilot project with us, and thank you @freestonecapitalmanagement and @csaainsurancegroup for helping us celebrate! ? Every child in California deserves to have a safe, vibrant, and healthy environment in their school to play in and thrive, but making this change in the California school system does not happen by itself. This week, I celebrated a work milestone—15 years at CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer my professional "quincea?era." I'd like to take a moment to share my reflection on my journey as a Bilingual Sr. Service Supervisor, a role I am incredibly proud of. I lead a team of 15 exceptional bilingual insurance service agents and am fortunate to work alongside peers who inspire me daily. Four years ago, I stepped into the Supervisor role when our first Bilingual team was formed at CSAA. As a Latina leader, I take my responsibility seriously, embracing a servant leadership style that values collaboration and empowerment as I understand that Latinas are underrepresented in leadership roles and representation matters. My personal journey as a Mexican immigrant has involved transcending generational challenges and embracing my cultural richness. This journey has influenced my leadership, as I strive to create a safe, supportive space where my team feels valued both professionally and personally. I am committed to advocating for Latinas in leadership, mentoring future leaders, and championing our bilingual group and Spanish-speaking clients. Fifteen years have brought tremendous growth and the knowledge that my work makes a difference. I look back with pride and forward with determination. There's still much to do, and I'm eager to continue growing.
