We will immerse students in the field of Computer Science through projects related to the Internet of Things, in addition to providing support in college readiness, language acquisition, and various other areas. For computer science education with real impact, everybody needs to be on board! That's why DPI hosted its first CS Educator Workshop tailored specifically for administrators and counselors. The group of 48 Chicago Public Schools principals, assistant principals, counselors, and a few teachers toured the Amazon facility in Humboldt Park and dipped their toes into the tech ecosystem. Kudos to Danna Dotson and Todd McFarlin for organizing the day, and a big thanks to Manleen Rajput, Kris Beck, and Steven McGee for their insights.
