My recent article in The Conversation U.S. analyzes ticket-splitting (voting for both Republican and Democratic candidates) in the 2024 Maryland Senate election, and what these patterns can tell us about the upcoming 2026 midterms. It seems inconceivable in a polarized era that voters could simultaneously support both parties, but from Arizona to North Carolina to right here in Maryland, ticket-splitting was a huge trend in 2024! The article uses data collected through the University of Maryland Baltimore County Institute of Politics' 2024 UMBC Battleground Exit Poll. I'm grateful to be able to present the findings from our project to a national audience! https://lnkd.in/eimv8hsd

This RFP invites efforts to collect, analyze, and use data to address inequities in the physical, economic, and social conditions of a place.
