Who can relate? Maintaining a poker face when a child throws objects for attention is crucial to prevent reinforcing the behavior. If Parents react emotionally-whether with frustration, laughter, or surprise-the child may perceive this reaction as attention, which could inadvertently strengthen the behavior.
