I'm very proud to announce that the RiskLayer litepaper has now been released. Although relatively new, RiskLayer has been a culmination of a few years worth of random thoughts and ideas. My main motivation had been to bring the ideas of distributed systems and statistical inference together and finally, after a few years of reading and tinkering and a eureka moment with my coworkers and friends Sudipan Sinha, Arka Datta and Anupam Shah - I had found my solution. RiskLayer aggregates the power of the crowd in traditional risk management. Instead of your protocol receiving the recommendations of one risk manager (thereby also creating a single point of failure), your protocol will now be able to leverage the risk management capabilities of a vast number of firms simply through a protocol that standardizes risk of DeFi, L1 and L2 blockchains and basically any application that you could think of. We have developed the novel "Proof of Risk" consensus protocol which will be an interesting innovation in distributed statistical inference systems. We're taking our time to get it down and perfect and I hope to be able to talk about it a lot more soon. I am also proud that we are actually on our way to solving a few open problems in DeFi with this where we are creating a standardized automated risk scoring system for protocols and also a new type of oracle system as a service layer on top of the beautiful Eigenlayer protocol by Eigen Labs.
