We strive to give our best back to the communities where our employees live and work.?Our next stop as part of our Annual Thanksgiving Project, in partnership with O'Toole Scrivo, LLC, was at Table of Hope, a non-profit In Morris County, NJ that serves meals five nights a week to anyone in need of a “warm meal and a smile.” "In addition to our annual contribution that will help provide approximately 500 meals, employees in our Morristown office organized a donation drive," said Noel Briordy, Director, Impact & Belonging. "The turnout was outstanding, filling over four six-foot tables with food." “By partnering with local food banks and community organizations, we are not only providing immediate relief to those who need it most but also helping to create a sense of community and togetherness during this special season," said Teresa Williams, Executive Director, Table of Hope. This season is all about giving back! Employees from Crum & Forster and O'Toole Scrivo, LLC have been hard at work supporting food banks nationwide during our 4th Annual Thanksgiving Project. Recently, we visited the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB), a new partnership for 2024. ACFB distributes an average of 9.7 million pounds of food each month, or approximately 8 million meals in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. Through our partnership, we helped provide 30,000 meals, and during a volunteer event last week, our employees packed 10,908 pounds of food to be distributed to senior citizens. “Over the past eighteen months, we’ve seen the number of households accessing food through our distribution network grow by more than 40%,” said Ben Burgess, ACFB Corporate Relations Manager. “More families are facing financial pressure resulting from the higher costs of groceries, housing, and healthcare. Crum & Forster had the pleasure of participating in another outstanding National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) event in the picturesque city of Denver, CO. The conference, as always, offered a wealth of valuable insights and information, along with the opportunity to connect with colleagues and friends from across the nation. "The majestic mountains provided the perfect backdrop to reflect on the importance of our work and the relationships we build," said Caren Alvarado, Vice President Regulatory Affairs & Industry Relations, A&H Division. Coming together for this event gave us another opportunity to engage with industry leaders, share knowledge, and strengthen our commitment to excellence in the insurance sector. In addition to forging new partnerships, our team created and shared the C&F Giving Tree initiative which all NAIC attendees participated in.? As a result of this project, donations of coloring books, crayons and floral arrangements (for the hospital staff) will be sent to the Children's Hospital Colorado. At C&F, we believe that being a good corporate citizen is at the heart of doing good business. In partnership with O'Toole Scrivo, LLC, we've been addressing food insecurity through volunteer efforts and a series of donations to food banks across the country. Our third stop on our 4th Annual Thanksgiving Project was at the Houston Food Bank. Our employees spent the day packaging produce that will be distributed to the food bank’s 18-county service area. Houston Food Bank distributes food and other essentials to those in need through a network of more than 1,600 community partners.
