Last week, C&F's Cyber & Information Security team proudly hosted our largest Cyber Awareness Day to date, themed 'Secure our World'. The event saw an impressive turnout, with over 100 employees attending in person and more than 200 joining virtually. Jason Garay, an agent from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a part of the Department of Homeland Security, kicked off the day by discussing recent cyber trends, the critical role of CISA in combating cybercrime, and shared practical tips for employees to stay safe online both at work and at home. Following the presentation, attendees enjoyed a lunchtime expo, gaining insights on secure system access, safe AI tool usage, phishing email identification, and cyber laws governing sensitive data handling. Chris Holden, C&F's Chief Information Security Officer, remarked, "Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and events like Cyber Awareness Day are crucial in empowering our employees with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves and our organization.
