Award winning CISO, top-rated keynote speaker, bestselling author, but really just trying to leave the world more secure than how I found it. Feel free to Connect instead of just Follow.
To answer the question clearly, "Yes, CruiseCon really is that cheap." CruiseCon is $1,500 and includes the +1, if you want an inside cabin. This includes the event, the cabin, the food, the entire cruise, etc. Alcohol as well for CruiseCon sponsored events (not at the bars). If you want a balcony cabin, it is $2250 at the moment. And yes, I know that is still cheaper than the cost of just the registration fee at major events. If you need family cabins or other accommodations, it will still be on the same scale. My goal for the event was to make it as cheap as possible, so companies would consider paying for the event, and that it is still practical for individuals to cover the cost if the attendee has to cover their own cost. The only addition charge we may charge is if 2 people in the same cabin both attend the event, as we price it to take advantage of the discounts the cruise line gives us for filling cabins. I know people think it is worth more, but that's good and this is an attendee focused event. Our goal is to make a typically executive type event accessible to as many people as possible. So ask your questions, but again, it fundamentally is that cheap to attend.

For those of you interested in the details about CruiseCon, here is a video we put together discussing the reason why we put the event together, the strategy of how the event was designed, why we chose to do something that was very out of the ordinary for the #cybersecurity community, etc. Take a look if you're interested, as it's reasonably short.

We just want to let everyone know that if you're interested in attending CruiseCon, we will be raising prices next week. So, now is the time to sign up if you want the lowest prices. Every speaker is a world class keynote speaker in the own rights, and you will be networking with some of the best minds in cybersecurity, in a premium location. All of this at an all in cost that is cheaper than just the registration fees at major conferences. Link in comments, because, well, LinkedIn.
