Co-Founder & CEO at Crstl (we are hiring!)

People often ask me why Crstl was founded, a modern B2B commerce network that tackles the complex, behind-the-scenes work keeping businesses of all sizes running smoothly and growing smartly. The answer is simple: (a) Built on a foundation of experience: Years of solving complex, often overlooked, and even thankless problems laid the groundwork for Crstl. These experiences brought clarity to the specific and immediate pain points that needed addressing—data integration, protocols, and infrastructure, which are essential yet frequently neglected. Crstl was a natural evolution, designed to solve these challenges with the right tools and expertise. It wasn’t just about identifying an opportunity, but being in a position to solve it effectively. (b) Empowering a movement already in motion: Crstl exists because there was a clear demand from those who make and move the products we all rely on daily. These voices consistently called for a common sense solution to B2B and omnichannel commerce. Today, Crstl fuels a growing movement, empowering businesses that have long been underserved. Having witnessed hypergrowth at Uber, I know what it’s like to be part of something much bigger than yourself. That’s the energy behind Crstl. We’re not just building a company; we’re fueling a movement that empowers the unsung heroes who do important work behind the scenes. In a tech and macro landscape that can feel increasingly complicated, enabling businesses in a meaningful way is what keeps our team motivated every day. Crstl isn’t just another startup—it’s a movement, and we’re at the forefront of it in our industry. #TechForGood #FounderJourney #B2BCommerce

Co-founder/CEO at GoodDay, reinventing the ERP for Shopify brands | Prev: Co-founder & Fmr. CEO at Chubbies ($100M+ exit)

You should not need a software engineering team to build a brand. This is one of the things we’re doing very differently at GoodDay Software vs traditional ERP systems. We’re building a simple, retail-specific ERP embedded directly into Shopify. We study the specific operational needs of emerging retail brands and extend their operational capabilities. The best part? We’re able to do this using almost all out-of-the-box functionality. What this means for you: - easy set-up - fast time-to-value - zero work on custom software dev projects and building data connections. These are no longer your problem. Here’s the deal: Traditional ERP systems push the responsibility on you as the brand. “You want your operating data to flow seamlessly through your operating system? Cool, good idea. Now go find yourself a developer & build that custom for yourself.” And not just any developer, one that specifically understands how to build custom integrations—at a hefty price. Get this—a one-time custom connection to a new data source, could cost you $5,000 to $25,000 a pop. If you need 3 to 5 different data sources connected (or more sometimes), that’s a HUGE upfront cost. At GoodDay, we are making data connectivity our responsibility, not yours. So, what does that mean? – We’re building out your WMS connections (most notably, ShipHero), ensuring all your warehouse data flows seamlessly into GoodDay. – We’re handling inbound logistics connections (like, Flexport), so tracking your shipments is as smooth as possible. – We’ve partnered with top EDI providers (our favorite: Crstl) to make sure electronic data exchanges with your retailers happen effortlessly. No extra work on your part. And, this list will just keep growing as your data flow needs evolve. To sum it up: GoodDay Software is committed to building a platform that addresses all of the toughest integration and custom workflow surface areas so that you don’t need to be in the business of building software. You run your business, we’ll handle the complicated tech stuff and data connectivity. As simple as that. Is there anything you’d like to see us build for you? Drop us a line, we’ll dive in. #inventorymanagement #ecommerce #shopify

Co-Founder & CEO at Crstl (we are hiring!)

I’ve always envisioned Crstl as a "hole-in-the-wall meets Michelin-star" experience: distinctive, genuine, and memorable. Our goal has always been to build something that feels like a hidden gem, combining cutting-edge innovation with a seamless, thoughtful experience. Yesterday, we received an unexpected email from a key partner, and it captured everything we strive for (see screenshot in the comments). The spirit of hospitality that Danny Meyer talks about in "Setting the Table" has always inspired me—to create an experience that not only works but stays with you. At Crstl, we don’t believe in pay-for-play schemes like badges, lists, or reviews, which are all too common in many industries. We let our results and innovation speak for themselves. A huge shout-out to the Crstl team for their relentless dedication and creativity. This is proof that small, mission-driven teams can make a lasting impact. Together, we’re building something far more meaningful than just a product—we’re shaping the future of the massive B2B commerce industry.

?? They say if you simply ask customers what they want, they will ask for a faster horse, not a car. However, it is important to remember that your customers are living and breathing their business everyday, so it is important to closely listen to what they are saying. Several years ago, during the thick of the pandemic, when I talked to a lot of brands, they made one thing clear: old will be new again, brands will need to go omnichannel when the world reopens. And they did. Plus, it's not just "brands" - manufacturers, resellers, distributors across product categories - all have physical products seeking distribution. ?? Crstl is proud and inspired to work with some of the most cutting-edge brands and founders in the industry as they go omnichannel. ?? A few years ago, when pure play e-commerce was all the rage, in the thick of the pandemic, everyone I spoke to and the things I was seeing getting Crstl off the ground had made one thing very clear: old will be new again. The future of commerce would be *everywhere* the consumer is, and not confined to any one channel. That future is here, now, and it's going nowhere. ?? Great insights from Neil Saunders as always.

[Update] After our original post, the URL in question was updated by the company to remove the significantly objectionable content. We will continue to monitor the situation and take swift, appropriate action as needed. --- ???? Looks like we’ve got ourselves an unofficial tribute band. Another company likes us so much they made a fan page — pretending to be Crstl! Link in comments. Flattered? Sure, imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery. However, we are too focused on our game, our customers, our partners, and creating the future.? Our innovation and culture aren’t plug-and-play features one can replicate with a mere landing page. To our imitators: Thank you for the free publicity. To everyone else: Keep your eyes on us. Whether our next move is a quantum leap or just a step forward, it’ll be 100% Crstl—unmistakable, unreplicable, and unparalleled. It is Crstl-clear that we are onto something special. If your brand is growing and has grown weary of the lack of innovation that has plagued the EDI space, DM me or signup to meet with us here:
