Always inspiring to visit WECA—a region full of opportunities and shaped by the dedication and collaboration of its people. ? This year, we’ve seen significant progress in #Ethiopia, highlighted by exciting developments such as the Tulefa plant and the launch of Cheetos. Kudos to Chris Wijnterp for laying a strong foundation for scalability—and, of course, for bringing some great Cheetos to the market along the way! ? During my visit to Addis Ababa, I had the opportunity to engage with our team, whose energy and passion are truly inspiring, and it was great to meet Lewi Belay, our new GM for the Foods business. I also connected with our bottling partners, MoHa Beverage Industries, to see the progress we’re making together in delivering our iconic brands to Ethiopian consumers. ? In #Uganda, we explored how the private sector can further support circular economies during a thought-provoking Circular Economy Roundtable, co-hosted with Dr. Amos Nzeyi, Chairman of Crown Beverages Limited. We value our partnership with Crown Beverages and look forward to working together to maintain operational excellence, driving improved product availability and accessibility in the market. ? This trip left me very motivated by the multiplier impact of our footprint on the continent and the shared values we uphold with our partners—from developing local talent to standing alongside communities. ? A special thanks to Paul Andersen for his leadership and to the team for their dedication to driving impactful work across WECA. We’re energized by the progress so far and excited for what’s to come in 2025! ? Dean Sheehan | Wael Ismail | Bronwyn Patten | Noha Samy?
