Crosswalk Labs, in collaboration with the Data Foundation, announced today the launch of a new resource providing open access to emissions data for every neighborhood in the United States. This announcement marks the first time the public will be able to see and understand the CO2 emissions of their neighborhood -- for every census tract in the country -- and understand how emissions have changed over time. Visit open.crosswalk.io to: See and understand the greenhouse gas emissions for every census tract in the country. Understand how emissions have changed over time through 2023. Understand how one community differs from another. Use these insights to advance local climate action. Thank you to the Doris Duke Foundation, Sam Gill, and Sacha Spector for hosting the announcement, Nick Hart, Ph.D., David J. Hayes, Ryan Alexander, and Sonia Wang for the partnership and collaboration, and The White House National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi for keynoting the event. And of course, thanks to our fantastic panelists: Kelly S. from Ten Across, Ben Grumbles from Environmental Council of the States (ECOS), Kate Wright of Climate Mayors, and Michel Gelobter from the Yale Center for Environmental Justice. #climate action; #climate data
