Art Of Our Soul adds trauma-informed yoga and sound bowl healing sessions for incarcerated women *&* officers at Perryville! Art of Our Soul has grown into a holistic healing center to help heal trauma and build connection with one’s self and others. Yoga sessions help with stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also help improve mood and sleep. This holistic approach to programming with also help with back pain, arthritis, headaches, weight loss, blood pressure, asthma symptoms, and substance use disorder. Sound Bowl Healing will help participants feel calm and less stressed, improve sleep, make the person feel more balanced and centered, and improve mood! Sound Bowls can also help reduce physical pain. This unique modality helps you release tension and blocked emotions. By offering this to incarcerated women and Perryville staff, our goal to help foster an environment that will help us achieve positive outcomes for all involved. What’s also important to mention is that these women can continue practicing these trauma healing modalities when they reenter our communities at Crossroads where they offer this same programming at their Extension campus - that also includes an Art Of Our Soul studio. We are grateful to have the opportunity to partner with Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry to help support its mission to #ReimagineCorrections This programming is a reality thanks to a generous investment by Banner Health Plans.
