Crossmint now orders all office supplies via a Slack AI agent that pays in USDC. Anyone on the team can order snacks and office supplies directly over Slack. They simply provide a link, specify which office, and the agent makes the purchase with Circle's USDC and the item is shipped. No need to give the agent an Amazon login, or even a credit card. We just top up with USDC, and the agent can't spend more than we give it. We're also teaching it to browse for the best deals, so cost savings will get better over time. We built this in a few hours using Vercel's AI SDK. Crossmint Headless Checkout lets the agent buy more than 1M items directly via API. No browser automation, cookie sharing, or card required. An AI agent ordered this Pac-Man machine. Now it's sitting at the Crossmint HQ. Ecommerce is about to change radically. Chats will replace traditional web interfaces. Your AI assistant will buy you tickets to the movies and replenish toilet paper when it runs out. Without you ever visiting the seller's site. The agent will find the best deal and ship it to you. It'll all happen on stablecoin rails. Card payments are expensive and the standard ecommerce flows were made to block bots (2FA, captchas...). Stables allow for cheaper, faster txs and agent wallets can be programmed with more granular guardrails and advanced functionality that prevents misuse of funds by the agents. This will happen faster than people expect. And we're building the infrastructure to accelerate it. 1. We're giving agents all the infrastructure they need to hold funds and make purchases.
