Serving the Hungry in Palm Beach and Martin Counties
关于我们
In 1978, a group of United Methodist Churches located in Palm Beach County came together to form Christians Reaching Out to Society Inc. (CROS Ministries). They realized that together they could make a bigger difference assisting the community’s unmet needs. Overtime, CROS Ministries became both ecumenical and interfaith, partnering with other denominations, faiths, community groups, and local nonprofit agencies. Today, our mission is to serve the hungry in Palm Beach and Martin Counties through community collaborations. Services include distributing food at seven food pantries in 15 different locations, recovering fresh produce at local farms through our Gleaning program, serving and delivering hot meals through our Caring Kitchen program, and children’s programming. All services are provided without regard to race, religion, national origin, marital status, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or age.

Great work Gleneagles Country Club! 780 pounds of food donated too! Thank you!
Gleneagles Gives Back is a new program for our members to volunteer as a group at a variety of nonprofits in the community. We held our first program today at CROS Ministries where our members assembled bags of groceries for the hungry in our community. We also delivered a large donation of food from our Gleneagles family! The members felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment and fulfillment in making a difference in our local community, and we are looking forward to our next event on the calendar!

CROS Gleaning - Our 2024-2025 Gleaning season has officially begun! Join our Gleaning Team this Saturday, November 23rd, to help us recover fresh produce in Pahokee! This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community and make a meaningful impact just in time for Thanksgiving. Students can also earn 5 hours toward their school community service requirement. We’ll meet at the field between 8:00 and 8:15 AM to get organized. After a brief overview, we’ll start promptly at 8:30 AM. For more information and directions, contact CROS Gleaning Director Robynne Ryals at [email protected]. #servingthehungry #bootsontheground #gleaning #communitycollaborations

#HungerActionMonth A special shoutout to our friend Nick from the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Whether it is showing up to our pantry sites delivering food from the Food Bank’s Just in Time Program or joining us in the fields during gleaning season to take fresh produce back to their warehouse to help feed our neighbors in need, you always come with a smile and a lending hand!
