Rounding out #GreenCareerWeek is Heather Newman who works with Commercial and Product Sales. Heather has worn many hats over the years with past experience in purchasing. We asked her what she loves most about her job, and she answered, "I love the team that I work with. We have an amazing staff here at CropKing! I also love getting to know our customers. For example, the CEA world is mixed with retirees who want to generate an income post-retirement, individuals who have spent their years in the corporate environment and want a career change, teachers who are passionate about teaching their students how to grow their own food, farmers who want to diversify their crop offerings, non-profit food banks who want to offer fresh produce in low-income and food deserts communities and many in between. It is a very diverse culture."

It’s time for another #GreenCareerWeek spotlight! Paul Brentlinger is a second-generation owner of CropKing and he is responsible for the overall direction of the company, driving sales and offering consultancy services (among many other things). Having grown up in the business, Paul has experience in all departments of CropKing, working in our manufacturing shop, in the research greenhouse and building relationships through sales. He believes having experience is just as important as any specific academic degree or certification.
