?? WE WON! ?? CRDLS is honored to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the 2025 East Bay Innovation Awards in the Community Impact category! Last night at the Oakland Scottish Rite Center, our team was humbled to be recognized among so many incredible organizations making a difference in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. We're deeply grateful to receive this award for our Corporate Work Study Program, which empowers students from Oakland's Fruitvale neighborhood to finance 50% of their education through weekly professional work at leading Bay Area companies. What makes our program innovative is its comprehensive approach: students gain invaluable workplace experience across diverse industries while building professional networks that transcend economic barriers. The impact is transformative—100% of our graduates have been accepted to multiple 4-year universities earning over $15 million in scholarships—creating a powerful ripple effect as they return to their communities as professionals and leaders, building generational wealth and opportunity throughout the East Bay. The competition was fierce, with over 100 applications across four categories. We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the finalists, especially our fellow nominees in the Community Impact category: A.B.O. Comix, AC Transit, Diablo Valley College's Industrial Automation and Robotics Program, HiiiWAV, Opportunity Junction, Rebuilding Together East Bay Network, and RCF Connects (formerly Richmond Community Foundation). Your work continues to inspire us. We're particularly grateful to the East Bay Economic Development Alliance for hosting this stellar event, to the industry experts who served as judges, to NBC Bay Area's Gia Vang for hosting, and to Patti Castro for support with our nomination. Special recognition also to the 2025 Legacy Awardees: Alameda County Community Food Bank and the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano (a CWSP partner!!). Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay High School St. Elizabeth Campus, is a diverse Lasallian Catholic learning community that educates young people to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. A rigorous and personalized college preparatory curriculum integrated with a corporate work study experience prepares students of limited economic means to succeed in college and in life.
