"Just because things are, doesn't mean they have to be. You have the power to make meaningful change." I started saying this years ago. The words came as a response to people who would tell me that "things are the way they are and there's nothing we can do about it." I don't believe this. In fact, I KNOW this to be false. Quantum physics and universal truths tell show us that everything in our 3D reality is a reflection of what is happening in our minds, in our belief systems, and in our hearts. The observer effect shows us that where we put our attention, manifests. The work of Dr. Joe Dispenza proves to us that we have more power as individuals — and furthermore as a collective — to transform what currently is and to create new realities. "Just because things are, doesn't mean they have to be. And YOU have the power to create meaningful change." These two sentences ground me and keep me aligned with my highest visions and my deepest knowings. They are what inspires everything that I do and my life's work. They are the motto that guides the Crisis Ready Certification and the whole reason I created it in the first place. Right now, we need leaders to not just "be the change they wish to see in the world" (to paraphrase to one and only, Ghandi). We need leaders who are willing rise and LEAD the change they wish to see, knowing that they—YOU—have the power to do so. Unfortunately, the majority of us were not raised with these teachings nor these knowings. Hence, the work I do. Hence, the Crisis Ready Certification. The Crisis Ready Certification is a 6-month program that teaches you how to step into your highest potential as, what we refer to as, a Visionary Crisis Leader. Right now, there's so much change happening and there are decisions being made at the helms that do not align with my highest vision for our species, our humanity, nor our world. ??Recently Read ?? I continue to prioritize reading and working my way through my pile (ok, piles) of books that I have accumulated. I grabbed this one that I have been wanting to read for a couple of months. It was fantastic! Melissa Agnes delivers an amazing combination of insight and actionable activity to develop a sustainable #CrisisCommunications program. I love the simple white cover and lowercase title that convey the sense of calm and confidence readers and practitioners of the methodology gain when following her precepts. Inside, Melissa has included her “Crisis Ready Rules” and explains the “Crisis Response Penalty” that companies pay for failing to engage in timely and effective communication, compounding the overall impact of the crisis. ?? Melissa does not simply provide a narrative, she has spaces in the book where she encourages readers to reflect ?? and write ?? responses to prompts, further engaging readers in the process. Awash (as you can probably tell by all the tabs ???I added while reading) in clear direction, samples, examples and backed-up by included case studies, this book is a great refresh for those trying to develop a new crisis communications program and those with an existing program who want to make sure they are actually #CrisisReady.
