Happy 40th Anniversary to the OJP Bureau of Justice Assistance! Since it was established in 1984, BJA has been instrumental in reforming America's criminal justice system through a wide range of resources that reduce crime and improve communities. CJI Vice President Spurgeon Kennedy attended the celebratory event and remarked, "BJA has transformed the criminal justice landscape over the last 40 years. CJI can't wait to partner with them for all the great things still to come!"

关于我们
The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) provides nonpartisan technical assistance, policy analysis, consulting, and research services to improve public safety throughout the nation. We develop strong partnerships with organizations to improve performance and build capacity for lasting change. Our goal is to create an environment of continuous improvement that ensures the sustainability and success of initiatives long after technical assistance engagement. With staff who have worked as practitioners across the sector and understand and serve as a bridge between research and practice, our team brings decades of experience developing evidence-based, data-driven policies, managing complex processes with diverse stakeholders, and driving systems-level organizational change. CJI congratulates Shreveport PD and the Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) for entering into an MOU for crisis response in the city. Those experiencing a behavioral health crisis can be connected to providers for treatment, instead of relying on an already strained criminal justice system. ? A big shoutout to Lt. Amy Bowman of the SPD, Janet Miller of CADA, and Laura Baxter from LSU for making this all happen! https://lnkd.in/gQCnJryQ?
