Thanks to CREWBaltimore and our IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity and advocacy committee) for an inspiring event focused on the future of our workforce! The conversation was focused on transforming workforce strategies through business partnerships and reshaping our involvement with the education systems. The event was interactive, allowing us to sample delicious food prepared by @Carver VoTech Culinary Pathways students, visit the masonry classroom lab where students learn about passive house construction, and explore the @carver house, a formerly vacant property that students are actively rehabilitating while gaining key construction trade skills. The things these students are doing, is incredible! So much talent!! We heard from industry leaders (Laura Concannon , Jimmy Stewart and Yvette Diamond ) who shared valuable insights on building a skilled workforce and attracting top talent. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with professionals passionate about advancing workforce development in their organizations and careers, and to discover innovative programs, tools, and resources designed to promote sustainable workforce development and education. Feeling inspired and motivated to stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of workforce development!
