In our work, one topic that often emerges in coaching is the importance of being able to say "no." This matters in all aspects of our lives, and especially in leadership. Read this month's blog to learn about "Skittle boundaries" and some helpful tips for saying "no." There are many ways to do this, from asking to check your calendar to allowing space for silence or simply bringing the humor--at least one will resonate with you and your leadership style! #SayNo #AuthenticLeadership #HealthyBoundaries #Essentialism https://lnkd.in/g2gUWNwP

Developing Leaders ? Transforming Business ? Changing Lives
关于我们
WE DO LEADERSHIP ? We help business leaders create healthier and more successful organizations through leadership coaching, group training, and our Leadership Academy. Through our work with individuals and teams we transform business and change lives. When individual leaders engage in coaching, they engage in a process that is all about them. From assessments that increase self-awareness to learning valuable tools and skills, the leader experiences increased satisfaction, productivity, and success. As they transform, others around them begin to transform. A leader who stretches to listen more and talk less, who empowers their direct reports to lead the way in an areas they themselves often struggle with, and who builds trust by sharing their own growth and development goals is a leader who shows up differently. Inevitably, those around them begin to show up differently too. Training, with groups of employees across areas or with a cohesive team, builds self-awareness and shared knowledge in a way that positively impacts the participants, the people they lead, and the organization overall. With shared learning comes a shared language and shared behaviors that drive a healthy culture. When a top-level leadership team engages in the Leadership Academy, a program combining individual coaching and group training, the impact is immediately tangible. Leaders become stronger, more intentional, and more aligned with one another. The team is more trusting, knows how to engage in conflict productively, can commit to and communicate decisions effectively, and drives impactful results for the organization. As one of our favorite leadership experts, Simon Sinek states, "So goes the leader, so goes the culture. So goes the culture, so goes the company." When leaders change, everything changes. We help businesses create intentional and impactful change that creates the outcomes they want - for their employees, their customers, and all of the people they serve.

At Cressy Leadership, authentic leadership is at the heart of everything we do. Our coaching and training often focus on helping individuals and teams recognize and leverage their unique strengths—unlocking potential for great things to happen. However, strengths come with a shadow side that’s essential to understand. We call these shadows "blind spots" or "saboteurs." The term saboteur comes from Shirzad Chamine's work, describing the negative thoughts and self-talk we direct inwardly or outwardly. These internal critics are universal—and, unfortunately, something we all face. These thoughts, along with the behaviors they drive, can be harmful, affecting both ourselves and those around us. The good news? There are straightforward strategies to reduce the impact of saboteur thinking, helping to cultivate more positive emotions for ourselves and others. Read today’s blog to learn more—and let us know if any strategies resonate with you! ?
