A Tradition For 40+ years, it has combined world class competition, amateur participation and great fun for all participants. Starting in 1979 with 902 participants, the Crescent City Classic has grown to become the preeminent fitness event in Louisiana. A Celebration The Classic has been praised in every major running publication as “one of America’s fastest 10k’s”, “the originator of the party race”, “an Easter Weekend tradition that should never be missed” and “a great race, on a beautiful course in America’s most unique city”. A Non-Profit All CCC events are produced by the Crescent City Classic Foundation, a not-for-profit entity whose sole purpose is to promote health, fitness, and a better lifestyle for the people of the New Orleans metropolitan area.

To honor the legacy of those who fought to secure the freedom we enjoy today, The National WWII Museum and Crescent City Classic have launched the return of the popular WWII Challenge for its fifth straight year. Officials announced the return of the virtual challenge during a special check presentation at The National WWII Museum. Over the first four editions of the virtual challenge, 7,809 participants from all 50 states and 10 countries around the globe logged more than 2.5 million miles and raised $191,966 in direct support of The National WWII Museum since 2020. Learn more and apply: https://lnkd.in/giMbv_zz -Official Charity Partners recruit and form teams of runners, joggers and walkers who commit to raising a minimum of $200 for their charity by race day. -Official Charity registrants receive exciting perks and incentives for participating. All of the money raised will be donated directly to the charity.
