Today, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced The Crenshaw Institute of Applied Science and Technology (CIAST), as a Stage One winner for the 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC). CIAST will receive a $50,000 cash prize for its inclusive approach in supporting the launch, growth, and scale of STEM/R&D-focused small businesses in the areas of National Security and Defense, Agricultural Innovation, and Climate and Environment. ? GAFC first launched in 2014, and through 2023, has awarded 427 prizes totaling over $26 million. We are honored and thrilled to be part of this year’s Stage One cohort, fostering a collaborative national support ecosystem for underrepresented entrepreneurs. ?
