CSV Richmond partners with Family Lifeline, and donated lunch bags for this year’s Friendly Baskets of Cheer, which they fill with food and give to members of the community in need. This year, the donations provided allowed them to fill the bags with fresh fruit during the holiday season.

Oct. 21-27 is National #EstatePlanning Awareness Week, adopted in 2008 by Congress to help the public understand estate planning, and why it is a vital component of financial wellness. The most neglected part of estate planning, as this Forbes columnist writes, is final arrangements -- yes, deathcare planning. "Just as my father found it difficult to make me sit and listen to his instructions, you will no doubt find it difficult to talk to your loved ones as well, but think about the alternative," she writes. "If you don’t discuss your plans with your spouse, your children, and anyone else named in your estate plan or your advance directive for care, they will be left trying to figure things out. ...You cannot help them with the pain, but you can definitely spare them confusion at a very difficult time." CSV #Richmond has kicked off their fifth annual #fooddrive – they're once again competing with local hospice groups to see who can collect the most food for those in need in their community. Anyone who would like to donate can drop off nonperishable food at the office: 7542 West Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23294, or call 804-494-5848. The food will all be donated to Feed More, their local food bank.
