Creighton Real Estate Club

Last night we had the pleasure of hearing from Griffin Parker and Michael Venneman from NewStreet Properties! We were able to learn about both new development and how to get started in a career in commercial real estate. Thank you Michael and Griffin!

Our recent TopGolf event was a success! We were able to hear from a wide array of real estate professionals, and also have some friendly competition. Thank you again to everyone who came out and offered their time! We are looking to have more of these events in the spring, so if you are looking to get involved please reach out.

Last Wednesday we were able to talk to Creighton grad Cooper Wilson from R&R Realty Group. He walked us through the deal cycle, and also gave us a valuable look into what it is like just starting out in the real estate market. Thank you Cooper!!! The Creighton Real Estate Club is excited to announce that we are hosting a TopGolf Networking event on next Friday November 15th! This event is open to anyone, and we are hoping to create a fun environment for both students and professionals to interact. Please reach out to Zac McCormack if you are interested in attending.

Last night we were able to hear from Brian Morrissey who is a real estate attorney at Cline Williams Wright Johnson & Oldfather L.L.P. He was able to offer valuable insight on different paths into law, and also ways to personally invest in real estate. Thank you Brian!! Our next meeting will be Wednesday the 6th with Cooper Wilson.

On Tuesday this week we hosted Kyle Peterson from Colliers! We learned about differnet cycles in Real Estate along with what it takes to become a good broker. Thank you Kyle!! We are now headed into our fall break.

On Tuesday this week, we hosted Doran “Jeff” Post from Peoples Company! We were able to learn about how different land deals are executed, and some tips to get started in the business. Thank you Jeff! Our next meeting will be on October 8th with Kyle Peterson.

Last Friday we had the opportunity to get off campus, and get a property tour from Conner Dana and Eden Steen from Campbell Dana | Commercial Real Estate. We were able to learn a lot about how value is created in industrial property and the process of sourcing tenants. Thanks again for giving us this opportunity!

Last night we were able to hear from Trey Smith about a wide variety of real estate topics ranging from development to asset management. Thanks Trey for sharing your time! Our next meeting will be on October 1st where we will hear from Jeff Post! If you are interested in helping out with the club feel free to reach out.

Come out this Friday! The Creighton Real Estate Club will be headed to the CRE summit at the CHI Health Center. This is a great opportunity to not only learn about the real estate sector, but also gain some insight into market trends.
