Happy Veterans Day! It was an honor to release Batch Three of our Red, White & Blue Bourbon last Thursday with so many service members and veterans in attendance. Today marks our distillery’s eighth year in operation, and we couldn’t be more proud to share our anniversary with a holiday honoring our military veterans. For the third year in a row we ran an astrophotography workshop over the weekend with CreatiVets and in partnership with McDonald Observatory and The University of Texas at Austin. The results of these workshops leveraging art as a medium to improve the quality of life for Veterans continues to exceed our expectations every time we do it. We had Veterans at this workshop from the Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars, and spent three days (and late evenings) teaching the concepts of astrophotography and some light painting, as well as focusing on the healing aspects of the night sky and good camaraderie. We're excited to keep the program going into 2025! Fiscal Year 2024 has been a pivotal year for CreatiVets, marking another milestone in our mission to empower wounded veterans through the arts. From our humble beginnings to becoming a driving force in veteran support and healing, we’ve grown to reach thousands of veterans across the country through music, visual arts, and performance arts. With each year, new challenges arise, but our vision remains clear: helping veterans rediscover purpose and healing through creative expression. The core of CreatiVets’ impact? People—veterans and artists—coming together to share their stories, face their trauma, and find hope. We create spaces where veterans feel heard, understood, and supported. In these spaces, they can explore their creativity, find camaraderie, and even discover new avenues for healing. This impact snapshot offers a glimpse into the remarkable strides we’ve made in the past year, supported by data that highlights the heart of our work. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Looking forward to another incredible year!
