Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the speaker starts at 9 a.m. Parking will be available in the main museum lot. Please pull a ticket to the lot and the exit gate will be open until 10:15 a.m. If you leave after that time, please be sure to see one of our volunteers to get validation. Our host venue for this month is the Columbus Museum of Art! Their mission is to create great experiences with great art for everyone. Whether they are presenting an exhibition, designing an art-making activity, or giving visitors directions, they are guided by a vision to connect people and art. CMA nurtures that connection and removes barriers between our community and their collection. Don't forget to register for our event this Friday, November 15. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and the speaker starts at 9:00 a.m. Parking will be available in the main museum lot. When you arrive, please pull a ticket. The exit gate will be open until 10:15 am., however if you exit after, please be sure to check in with one of our volunteers to get parking validation. Save the date! Sophie Miller will be speaking on the theme #CMthread on November 15. Sophie is an English fiber artist and New York Times Bestselling author/co-creator of Children's book series 'Invisible Things' along with her husband Andy J. Pizza. In her textile artwork, Sophie uses paint, dye, fabric collage, machine and hand embroidery to capture and record things found in the woods and her home and garden. Her work seeks to communicate the emotional connections we hold to the things we tend to, the spaces we inhabit and the tiny treasures found when practicing presence.
