Did you know that Gratitude is a mediator for Burnout? Yes, that is jargon. Think of Gratitude as adding bounce to your bouncy-ball. As workloads become more intense to the end of the year, last minute family details increase as well. It is hard to fit it all and in. We sleep less, which in turns, impacts our ability to sleep AND to regulate emotions. Burnout is just around the corner. That means, it is more likely we will drop one of our juggling balls. Adding a gratitude practice (self-gratitude and recognition of others). Let that ball bounce! If you'd like to measure your level of burnout, consider the Burnout Assessment. Taking it monthly will give you a snapshot of your current level of burnout. https://lnkd.in/gphGkBp6 #burnout #leadership #gratitude #bounce

Creatively Efficient sponsors the Gratitude Leadership Collective. Why Gratitude? As the founder of Creatively Efficient, Angela J. Buckley, PhD works in two specific efficiency areas, Personal and Organizational, to reduce employee turnover in organizations. What does this mean? It means implementing strategies that prioritize gratitude and appreciation within the workplace culture. Research has shown that when employees feel valued, recognized, and appreciated for their contributions, they are more likely to stay committed and engaged, significantly reducing turnover rates. At Creatively Efficient, we believe that nurturing a culture of gratitude can transform organizational dynamics, leading to a more motivated and loyal workforce. In personal efficiency, gratitude plays a pivotal role in enhancing individual productivity and well-being. By encouraging mindfulness and positive reinforcement, we empower individuals to tackle tasks with renewed energy and focus. This holistic approach not only improves personal productivity but also sets the stage for successful collaborative efforts. On an organizational level, we work closely with leaders to integrate gratitude into leadership practices, encouraging open communication, and fostering strong professional relationships. Our partnership with the Gratitude Leadership Collective allows us to share insights and tools that help leaders across various sectors harness the power of gratitude to build more cohesive and resilient teams. By championing gratitude, we aim to cultivate workplaces where employees feel genuinely connected to their work and peers, leading to a thriving organizational culture. Join us in transforming the typical work environment into one that values appreciation and efficiency for sustainable success. When is the last time you really spent some effort on thanking your team members and colleagues? What about a cherished mentor? Someone in your social organization? Research shows that thanking people for their time, effort, and resources increases their engagement and sense of value. Furthermore, the quality of the acknowledgement is important for a deeper sense of engagement. How can you improve the quality of your acknowledgement? I created the SPIRIT method of acknowledgement a few years ago...as a message to my younger self. Yes, I was always thankful for me team. Yes, I thanked them regularly. No, I did not say much more than, "Thanks" or "Good job today." Since then, I've learned how to be more SPECIFIC PERSONAL IMPACTFUL RELEVANT INCLUSIVE TIMELY Similar to SMART goals, a well-crafted thank you and acknowledgement carries power. We are acknowledging the person and their values. We are tying the relevance to the organization. We are including others, choosing inclusive language, and sharing. Have you practiced SPIRIT in your acknowledgments before? Hi, I'm Angela J. Buckley, and I regularly post on gratitude, overwhelm, and leadership practices. I have 25+ years working in manufacturing and transitioned into professional and leadership development work over the last 10 years. I'm a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with a Ph.D. in Organizational Change. Change Management and Process Improvements are most effective when you are involving your people. Follow along here and join us in the Gratitude Leadership Collective for active conversations on how a gratitude practice and program can impact your organization's bottom line. #gratitude #spirit #acknowledgment #leadership #leadershipdevelopment
