If there was one social burden that you could lay to rest, what would it be? At Creative Investment Research, we know that change doesn't happen overnight. We also know that any change worth fighting for takes a united force with relevant and accurate information, perseverance, and tenacity. With over 25 years of experience, we are dedicated to helping individuals, organizations, and corporations understand the social hardships that lay heavy on the world - bringing awareness to the issues. Armed with this knowledge, we collaborate with these entities to design, develop, test, and measure innovative investment vehicles to drive social reform. We have assisted various organizations to accomplish this through; Impact Investing Strategy and Design Humanizing impact investing activities to produce measurable, demonstrable results. Combining: social research, financial institution integration, and the decision-making process. Testing innovative solutions for new investment vehicles. Impact Investing Research Getting the full scope by contacting all parties involved in the investment process. Verifying the validity and legal ramifications of our strategies and models. Researching fund policies and procedures. Impact Investing Measurement and Reporting Coordinating the data, industries, and opportunities for maximum impact. Managing targeted internal and external communications to monitor social awareness. Monitoring the continued social impact of previous efforts. We also understand that social change is only as impactful as the pillars that remain to uphold it. They Just Showed Us the Future. Are You Paying Attention? When the government ignores the law once, it’s a scandal. When it does it twice, it’s a crisis. When it does it three times and no one stops them, it becomes the new normal. This week, the Trump administration crossed a threshold that should terrify every American, no matter where you stand politically. They defied a federal court order—again. They used wartime powers against asylum seekers. They sent law enforcement to seize control of a nonprofit in Washington, D.C.. And now, they want to imprison protesters as “domestic terrorists”—not for violence, but for targeting the wrong billionaire. The message is clear: They do not believe the law applies to them. Trump’s border czar said it out loud on national television: “I don’t care what the judges think.” They are daring us to stop them. If you think this stops with immigrants, you’re not paying attention. They are setting the precedent now—ignoring judicial orders, branding political opposition as terrorism, using private mercenaries to carry out government functions. This is the script. We have seen it before, in history books, in authoritarian regimes, in warnings from the people who survived them. And if we don’t fight it now, we will soon be fighting it in our own workplaces, our own industries, our own lives. How long does it take to undo centuries of oppression? You can’t heal what you refuse to acknowledge. Slavery lasted 246 years. Segregation lasted 89 years. Black people have had full legal rights for… about 60 years. We didn’t start at the same time. We didn’t get the same rules. We’ve been "equal" for less time than we were enslaved and segregated. That means there are Black elders alive today who were born into segregation. Their parents were born into slavery’s aftermath. The economic and social systems built during those centuries didn’t magically disappear in 1964. Why are we still talking about racism? This is why. That was a long time ago. It wasn’t. Curiosity isn’t about staying in the past. It’s about understanding how we got here so we can decide where we go next. If history shaped today, what are we doing to shape tomorrow? #curiosity #equity #future #economicequality #economicjustice
