In these times renewal—spiritual, missional, and congregational—is vital for all of us. I want to invite you to the online course I’m offering this Lent called: RISE: 40 Days to Spiritual Transformation.?? ? Being part of this community will be a great way to nourish yourself during this challenging season. ? Over six dynamic sessions, we will delve into the core beliefs that fueled Jesus’ extraordinary life and learn how to apply these principes to our own spiritual growth. The world around us is rapidly changing. It can be easy to freeze, fall prey to fear, or to simply wring your hands and catastrophize. It can be especially challenging if your people see the world differently than you. Here's the thing. Christians, especially Christian leaders, are called to be light in the darkness. To believe in resurrection. And to act on that belief. That's why in my blog this week I encourage you, as church leaders, to believe like Jesus and your ability to rise again. And to lead others in that way.

These are tough times in a lot of ways. My most recent book "Believe Like Jesus" is designed to empower you to claim your agency. When you claim your apostleship, you have a sense of agency and partnership with God. A connection with your inner divinity. ? I am so thrilled that the Oklahoma Annual Conference of the UMC has created an all-church Lenten emphasis using "Believe Like Jesus".
